What is the color of their car tells us about Canadians? According to a recent survey conducted by Leger Marketing for Ford, Canadians are loyal to traditional colors. In terms of current cars, silver / gray (22.3%) is by far the most popular color, while the black (14.1%), blue (13.6%) and finally red (11.6%) follow with distance. Possibly due to our winter weather conditions messy, white color, which is often favored in hot climates, is only the fifth choice (6.9%). The other choices are green (6.0%), the dore (3.8%) and orange (0.4%). Eleven per cent of Canadians probes chose a color other than those mentioned.
"People establish an emotional connection with color and there is something very personal to buyers as to the color of their car," stated Susan Swek, chief designer for color and materials at Ford.
