Mazda MX-5: New world record

The largest parade of Mazda MX-5 in the world registered by the Guinness Book of Records

• 459 roadster MX-5 three generations to grant the record

• 1500 participants from 17 nations meet in Essen

• Animations and rewards around the icon MX-5

The world record is sprayed! Mazda has renewed its presence in the Guinness Book of Records with its cult roadster MX-5.

Nearly 600 MX-5 three generations met in Essen, Germany, in the industrial complex Zeche Zollverein World Heritage class Unesco. 459 vehicles were validated by the official representative of the Guinness Book of Records to be the new record for the largest parade of MX-5 in the world. The previous record established in 2005 in New Zealand with 249 vehicles has been abundantly exceeded.

In all, 17 nations were presented to break the record. After the impressive German representation, it is France which was the largest foreign delegation by the number of participants and vehicles (22 cars and 41 people), followed by Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland in the nations which came in strength.

The French group will strongly mark the spirits with tricolor flags and iconic berets! The group consisted of individuals who gain their participation in the www.mazda.fr site of representatives of clubs, roadster owners journalists and other media crews. All happy to leave with a record in his pocket.

The day has been dense animations before the big party closing. It was an opportunity to reward several crews: those who traveled the greatest distance to reach Essen (2,800 km from Moscow), those holding the oldest model (registers in July 1989) and those with the largest model with 344 km 624 "limits" to the counter!
