Mazda3 and Mazda5: Recall 320,000 models of years 2007-2009
Decidedly, there was an unprecedented wave of recalls in North America, or even everywhere around the world. Notwithstanding Toyota tsunami, we see that almost all manufacturers announce recall campaigns more or less important.
The latest list, Mazda has confirmed it will proceed to a recall for the following vehicles:
Mazda3: Years 2007-2009
Mazda5: Products between 2 April 2007 and 30 November 2008.
In total, reminders aimed near 320,000 vehicles around the world, including 215,000 just in the United States. Canada and Mexico also has a few thousand vehicles that will eventually recalled.
For its Mazda Mazda3 lists 266,533 affected by this recall and 53,181 Mazda5.
A defective steering
The problem relates to the direction that is likely to lose all assistance and at any time. This failure is due to rust particles that become detached from the walls of some pipes to head pump power steering system that would be damaged.
American Safety Agency (NHTSA) had already recorded a thirty complaints about this problem on the Mazda3 and Mazda5 year of high Stipulated.
A phased return
The owners referred by this recall will be invited to visit a dealer for replacement of parts commencing in mid-September. Given a shortage of parts replacement to make the necessary repairs, the recall will continue until February 2011.
