"Quest for a Cure" and Land Rover Canada, contribute to the fight against cancer

For the third consecutive year, Land Rover Canada will continue its sponsorship of Quest for a Cure, a fund adventure premier race is designed not only to push participants beyond their limits, but also to raise and stimulate awareness to support the treatment against cancer through the Cancer Foundation of the Ottawa area.            

Quest for a Cure was created in 2002 by a team of Ottawa firefighters who, through personal experiences, had noticed the need to raise funds and promote awareness for Breast Cancer Foundation in the region of Ottawa. Today, Quest for a Cure is a registered non-profit that is highly respected and is directed entirely by volunteers organization.            

Since its founding, Quest for a Cure raises over $ 200,000 for the Cancer Foundation of Ottawa area to ensure that the research and treatment of cancer remain a priority in our community. The course of a duration of 8 hours with 35 grueling kilometers of mountain biking, hiking, orienteering and water tests. In team of 2 or 3, the crew must always stay together and make the entire race, passing through all the checkpoints in the correct order to complete as classee team.            

Land Rover vehicles of Canada provides support for event and a local off-road racing Land Rover. The Land Rover vehicles offer greater breadth of capability than any other vehicle available. The characteristics of the Land Rover LR3, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and LR2, from intentional design has the durability, are mandatory for the endurance athlete, making Land Rover's partner adventure race ideal.

"The partnership of our vehicles with these exemplary adventure athletes therefore was an ideal match." With the help of the community, the Cancer Foundation Ottawa Regional leads the fight against cancer in Eastern Ontario. Cancer Foundation is trying to fill the gaps in services for cancer patients and patients she is associated with 11 local hospitals to ensure that residents receive the best care possible close to home, that their waiting time is reduced, their quality of life has improved and they have access to the most recent therapies.
