Or the vehicles are assembled?
Among the main criteria that will encourage a motorist to prefer a vehicle rather than another, we find the price, reliability, fuel consumption, the habitability, comfort and so on.
However, there is one that is totally unknown and it is important. It is to know the place where the vehicle is factory you want to obtain.
For a good dozen years, and in some cases beyond twenty years, more and more vehicles are assembled on the outside of their country of origin said to minimize production costs. For many of them, they are even more assembled in a factory or in several countries. But here we'll just talk about vehicles available on Canadian soil, but doing here, our neighbors to the south, Mexico, South Korea, Austria, Finland, Hungary, Brazil, Portugal or Slovakia .
Here we talk about vehicles produced in a region of the world that is not their country of origin. At the moment, we do not consider cars available in North America built in China or India, but it could come sooner than we think. Thus, a car Griffee a name sounding american, asian or Europeenne, is not necessarily a typical american car, Asian or Europeenne and in the very best sense of the term. For example, the name Nissan AC is very Japanese and yet his Sentra and Versa models are assembled in Mexico to serve the North American market.
Or are assembled the vehicles available on the Canadian work?
As long as you approach the subject, why not do more research on this phenomenon. So I just epluche 2009 edition of our excellent Car Guide to discover there a bunch of 80 different models, assembled on the outside of their country of origin, including the following nomenclature:

While Builders North-Americans announced slowdowns or plant closures, three Asian and two european manufacturers announce either opening or expanding their factories in American soil. And this despite the fact that most of them suffer very significant declines in sales.
The European side, we see that BMW expanded its factory in South Carolina Spartanburgh to add the assembly of the next generation of the model X3 and commencing in 2010. Volkswagen returns to America, Tennessee produce a first car intermediate class, to succeed the current Passat.
Japanese converted his Nissan Canton plant in Mississippi, for assembling a new line of vehicles for delivery. Toyota was preparing to use its new plant in Mississippi to produce its future hybrid Prius, but dramatic declines in sales of this model for a few months, cause the manufacturer to review this decision ...
Finally, after Hyundai has moved to Alabama to assemble its Sonata sedans, here it is the turn of Kia come produce compact vehicles in Georgia with our friendly neighbors.
For the vast majority of vehicles, the place where they are assembled is indicated at the central pillar, driver side or a plaque indicating this very pertinent information.
