The Nissan Canada Foundation donated 51 new vehicles
The Foundation celebrated its 15th anniversary with its continued support to organizations dealing with aged from one end of Canada to the other people. Nissan Canadaa today highlights the 15th anniversary of the Nissan Canada Foundation by donating 51 new vehicles to charitable partners across the country to the other.
"The Foundation has a long history of support to the groin all regions of Canada," said Mark Grimm, President, Nissan Canada Inc. "We are pleased to improve the lives of our partners at the local level thanks to this gift . Every day, these vehicles help organizations with which we are associated to enter into relations with elderly in precarious situation that often people feel isolated within their community. "
In Ontario, 25 cars have been donated. In British Columbia, the charitable partners have received seven vehicles. Seven cars were also given in Alberta, while Quebec organizations were entitled to nine vehicles donated by the Foundation. Every donation is made possible thanks to the generous support and collaboration of partners Nissan dealers throughout the country has.
"These groups, which offer a range of services to our neighbors in various communities, and special needs in matters of transportation," says Grimm. "We are delighted to be able to offer different vehicles to each of our partner agencies to help them better meet the needs of their community."
Groups such as Meals on Wheels at the scale of Canada, Health and Home Care BC and the Canadian Red Cross are among the many beneficiaries of these donations. These groups coordinate the execution of a great diversity of programs ranging from meal delivery to transportation for medical appointments.
