Lock defective "child safety": Ford recalls 13,000 cars
The automaker Ford recalls just over 13,000 vehicles of its models Explorer, Taurus and Lincoln MKS.
The latch device for children rear doors might not work.
The recall involves 2013 models sold primarily in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Ford stated that some automatic locks were likely to disable manipulating the inner door handle, thus endangering the safety of children.
No injuries have been reported in relation to this manufacturing defect, a precise the giant automobile.
The recall affects cars and sports utility vehicles (SUVs) assembled last year between November 29 and December 12.
Ford dealers will be testing and replace defective portieres free.
