Mazda MX-5 2013: When driving means pleasure

This year, the legendary Mazda MX-5 celebrates its 25 years.

The little roadster was unveiled for the very first time February 9th, 1989 at Auto Show in Chicago.

A car that was not reminiscent of roadsters 60 years.

Since then, it has sold worldwide over 920 000 copies of the Mazda MX-5, a recognized as a Guinness Book record number, as the two-seater sports car sold more.

Three generations later

The first version of the MX-5 appeared in 1989, while the second was born in 1998.

Commercialization of third generation debuted in 2005.

The appointment rate

According to some rumors, the fourth version was to be unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show, as was the case in 1989. However, it was not there.

There are three possibilities:

-    an unveiling in March at the International Motor Show in Geneva;

-    an unveiling in April at the Auto Show in New York;

-    an unveiling in September at the Paris Motor Show in Paris.

The Mazda MX-5 2015 was developed in collaboration with the manufacturer Alfa Romeo, which provide a model equivalent of different style and driven by engine of the Fiat group.
