Acura TSX recalls its models from 2004 to 2008

Acura proceed to the voluntary recall of approximately 17,000 TSX sedan model years 2004 to 2008 in Canada that dealers pose a waterproof cover on the engine control unit (ECU). In cold regions where road salt is used frequently, if the driver enters the vehicle with a mixture of salt, snow boots, this mixture will melt and soak into the carpet that covers the unit control engine (ECU) situated under the dashboard of the vehicle. If water containing road salt comes into contact with the metal base of the ECU, corrosion could then be formed, which, over time, to stall the engine and prevent the restart. There have been no reports of accidents or injuries related to this problem.

Acura announces recall to encourage all owners of affected vehicles to visit a dealer permits they receive the recall notice from Honda about it.

Notices should be positions to customers in April 2013. Besides receiving a notice in the mail, the owners of these vehicles will also determine if their vehicles need an inspection by going to the address www.acura.ca / or recallsfre calling 888-9ACURA9.
