Chevrolet Spark EV: testee in the desert

Chevrolet plans to offer next year to drive a fully electric version of its small Spark.

A city car that will be sold in limited series in America, Europe and some Asian markets under the name Beat.

Rigorous testing

But before getting concession, the Spark EV must pass extremely rigorous testing so that we can refine its focus.

Very recently, we have seen prototypes circulate in the desert of Arizona. The ideal place to test vehicles under great heat.

Small electric cars have traveled a distance of about 490 kilometers. The departure took place in the city of Yuma and hiking has ended in the city of Torrance, California.

The electric motor of the Chevrolet Spark EV will have a capacity of 85 kilowatts or the equivalent of 114 horsepower.
