Lexus RX 350 2011: A voluntary safety campaign

Toyota Canada announces voluntary safety campaign involving certain vehicles Lexus RX 350 2011

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today announced that it will conduct a voluntary safety campaign involving 493 Lexus RX 350 vehicles sold in Canada in 2011 to replace the brake actuator. No other vehicle Toyota, Lexus or Scion is key.

In the brake actuator of vehicle keys, which are equipped system of integrated management of the dynamics of vehicle (VDIM), calibration of hydraulic control valves is incorrect. Improper calibration of hydraulic control valves has been integrated in the programming of the electronic control unit (ECU) brake actuators. Because of this situation, it may be that the right front wheel is not properly controlled during activation of the anti-lock brake system (ABS) or control device of the vehicle stability (VSC). This could result in longer and / or stop distances by the impossibility of adequately correct excessive yaw motion of the vehicle.

Lexus will notify owners of the vehicles keys on the voluntary safety campaign by first class mail in mid-September 2011 inviting them to make an appointment at a dealership allows Lexus to repair free brake actuator.

Lexus owners who have questions are asked to contact their local Lexus dealer, visit the website or contact www.lexus.ca Lexus of Canada at 1-800-26-LEXUS (1 800 265-3987).
