North American production will reach 100 to 100 Honda in August for most models
Honda announced its plans for an accelerated recovery of its automobile production in North America as a result of the earthquake and tsunami of March 11 in Japan. Honda will increase production volume has its North-American automotive manufacturing plants in August up to a rate of 100 to 100 of its initial production plan for all models except the 2012 Civic.
As the supply of parts from Japan improves, production will increase gradually in August on a step by step process, plant by plant and model by model, while production will return to 100 100 of the original plan, and for the 4-cylinder Accord, CR-V and Acura RDX, as well as all models a V6 - including the Accord, Accord Crosstour, Odyssey, the Pilot, Ridgeline, Acura TL and MDX and ZDX Canadian construction.
The production of the new 2012 Civic range will continue at a reduced approximately 50 100 due to the supply rate limit essential components. However, it continues to assess the situation and is expected to resume full production somewhere in the fall, when we aim to answer the demand we anticipate for eco-energetics Civic range.
"We are pleased to see this positive spin on the situation that represents a significant improvement of our production," says Jerry has Chenkin, executive vice president of Honda Canada Inc. "Throughout this crisis, Honda toiling hard for the recovery is done as quickly as possible, without losing sight of our long-term goals of continued growth of our sales and our production to meet the growing needs of our clients. We thank our customers and dealers for their understanding during this trying time when we will resume our production vehicles to bring it to its normal rhythm as quickly as possible. "
Honda manages this problematic without precedent concerning the supply of parts which follows from the devastating impact of the earthquake and tsunami of March 11 in Japan without a layoff any of its 14 plants in North America.
"We are proud of the efforts of our team of Manufacturing in Alliston, Ontario," stated Jerry Chenkin, "and we congratulate the measures that have been taken to ensure that our partners can continue to work together as a team during this difficult period while maintaining their remarkable attention to the quality for customers. We still have challenges ahead of us, but once we normalize our business we need them proud candle. "
