Kia Motors honored at the red dot design award
- The automaker receives two prestigious design awards

This year, Kia Motors was honoree at the highest point in two categories of the red dot design competition held in Germany.
The jury consists of renowned international experts in the design world, has granted a red dot in compact CUV Kia Sportage and the Kia Optima sedan. The judges also honored specially the new intermediate sedan Kia Optima, which has won the title red dot "best of the best" in 2011, the highest nomination contest that honors the best products in each category.
Thanks to these recent wins, four Kia have now received a red dot award: 2010 Kia Venga, commercialized on the European and Asian markets, and in 2009, the Kia Soul. The Kia Optima and the new Sportage has also won awards from iF 2011 design last December.

The red dot award: a prize coveted worldwide
The red dot design award are among the most important competitions in the world and held at Design Centre North Rhone-Westphalia, Germany, since 1955. This year, about 1,700 manufacturers from 60 countries working in various sectors were competing for the prize by presenting a total of 4433 different products.
A jury consists of the highly respected international design experts, product reviews and tests, and have judges based on their innovation, function, ergonomics, durability, ecological compatibility and their intuitive maneuverability. Only products that meet the highest standards of design students are eligible for the red dot.
