Kia Optima 2011: A rating of five stars
The Optime 2011 Kia gets the U.S. government a rating of five stars in tests of resistance to impacts
The new intermediate sedan Kia receives the highest rating due in frontal crash tests, lateral and rollover

The new intermediate sedan 2011 Kia Optima has received an overall rating of five stars in tests for resistance to impact, or the highest rating due, after recording five stars in each of the categories at the most recent general tests resistance to investments made by the NHTSA U.S. Department of transportation impacts. Already named "Top Safety Pick" by IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety), the Optima Series offers consumers exceptional levels of equipment and technology security.

Overall, 24 private cars, 20 sport utility vehicles, two vans and nine pickups in 2011 were evaluated according to the new requirements of the system that not only include the most rigorous tests of resistance, but also, for the first time, provides consumers with a note of general security per vehicle. The new testing program also provides resistance to consumer information on new and improved technologies preventions collisions, such as monitoring systems track and Forward Collision Warning.
