Chevrolet Equinox, GMC Terrain and Cadillac SRX new RECALLED

GM Canada recalls crossover vehicles because of a problem anchoring loops seat belts

General Motors of Canada recalls 13,117 vehicles Chevrolet Equinox, GMC Terrain and Cadillac SRX model of the year 2011 due to an anchor belt buckles safety problem that may disengage in a collision .

No associated injuries this condition has not been reported.

Loops of some vehicles have keys cracks that could cause breakage of the loop if the last tour was in some way or if it would absorb the force subjected to the belt during a collision. If the loop is broken, the seat belts may not protect the occupant if a second collision occurs, thereby increasing the risk of injury.

By January 18, customers will be invited to entrust their vehicle to their dealer to perform the repairs. Work will be effected without charge.
