Toyota Canada recalls 58,400 of its popular Yaris models
Japanese automaker Toyota announced the recall of 1.3 million units of its compact model in the Yaris and around the world. Of these, 58,400 units were sold in the Canadian auto chessboard and 130 000 copies from our southern neighbors.
The major reason that causes this important reminder concerns a foam pad that could be ignited with a seatbelt during a frontal collision. Although currently no incident has been reported, it is for manufacturing a precautionary measure, to avoid irreparable there come, then that could be much more pricey for the latter.
Of next week, the owners of a Toyota Yaris will receive a letter from the manufacturer, inviting them to go to the dealer so that is corrected this anomaly. A repair that would require an hour of work.
