GM announces recall of 228,000 vehicles across the North America
The automaker General Motors announces recall of 228,000 vehicles across the North America. These are models sedans Buick Regal and Pontiac Grand Prix, the years 1997 to 2003 inclusive.
More than 21,000 of these vehicles were sold in Canada. The recall was ordered as a result of fires that were triggered by leakage of engine oil on the exhaust pipe when braking hard.
Some 267 vehicles were victims of this problem. Six people were injured, but none seriously.
