Kia Canada Inc. celebrates the third annual Day 'Drive Change'

Kia Canada Inc. celebrates with pleasure, August 21, 2013, its third Journee 'Drive Change' which aims to promote support grants to communities by promoting positive changes in our society.

This year, Kia Canada has teamed up with the police in the region of York and with MADD Canada to make our roads safer. We encourage Canadians to visit the site and www.cartedelespoir.ca to pledge not to drive while intoxicated.

Maria Soklis, vice-president and COO of Kia Canada Inc., has participated in audits of surprise RIDE motorists by police in the region of York, in conjunction with MADD Canada. More than 1,000 motorists traveling south on Yonge Street have been the surprise audits, directly opposite the Kia dealer Newmarket, to remind them of the importance of driving responsibly, without the faculties impaired. "As a global automobile manufacturer in Canada, we have a very important role to play in educating Canadians and remind them that it is dangerous to drive while intoxicated or being distracted," stressed Ms. Soklis.

Charitable organizations have more than doubled since the inaugural year of 2011 with the chance of winning a national scale, the use of a four Kia vehicles for a period of two years. Bids were accepted on www.dominerlechangementaveckia.ca site and the four winners will be selected Oct. 20, 2013.
