BMW made two reminders of its 7 Series models

The first recall affects 2087 BMW 7 Series models equipped with the Comfort Access option, assembled between the years 2004 and 2008.
The second recall involves 416 models of years 2004, 2007, offering systems Soft Close and Comfort Access.
Details of the first recall
On certain vehicles equipped with the optional Comfort Access, if the driver presses the start-stop repeatedly and quickly button, the gearbox could be put in neutral (N) instead of "park" position ( P). If the driver left the vehicle without brake, parking, sufficient slope could cause the setting in motion of the vehicle.
A moving vehicle could go strike another vehicle, a stationary object or a person who is close, damaging material property or hurt someone.
Correction: Dealers will replace the software of the control unit by a software update.
Details of the second reminder
On certain vehicles equipped with Soft Close Automatic options and Comfort Access, the doors may not close properly. If a door is opened while the vehicle is moving, any person who is not attached the vehicle could fall and injure themselves.
