Chrysler saw its earnings jump 80%
Net earnings of U.S. $ 381 million from more recent quarter compared to the U.S. $ 212 million realized in the same period last year.
Sales of Chrysler vehicles were up 13 percent in the United States, or the manufacturer realized three-quarters of its revenue. The Company currently sold nearly 417,000 cars and trucks under the banners Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat and Chrysler.
Now majority owned by the Italian automaker Fiat, the Company Detroit experienced a transformation since its passage in 2009, protection against bankruptcy. It displays profits since last year and now supports Fiat, whose sales are to shrink in Europe.
Unlike its rival automakers in Detroit, General Motors and Ford Motor, Chrysler realized few sales in Europe and its profits are not eroded by the losses there.
Cases were assisted by Chrysler for sale, from 2010, a series of rejuvenated automobile and truck versions. These models include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ram Truck and Chrysler 200.
