Ford recalls 1.1 million pickups its
Ford recalls 1.1 million of its F-150, F-250 and Lincoln Blackwood. Of this number, about 120,000 units will be recalled on Canadian soil.
This time, the cause of this important recall involves clamps the fuel tank whose precocious corrosion can lead to a breakaway. This results in that the gas tank can also detach themselves, ignite and cause a fire.
This recall affects models manufactured between 1997 and 2004.
The models affected by the recall are:
Ford F-150 factories between 1997 and 2004
Ford F-250 factories between 1997 and 1999
Lincoln Blackwood factories in 2002 and 2003
So far, Ford has identified eight accidents directly related to this problem. These accidents could cause injuries to three people.
It goes without saying that Ford will eventually come into contact with the owners referred by the recall of these vehicles.
