Honda Canada is conducting a recall of the modulator system support to the stability of the vehicle (VSA (R))
Honda Canada will conduct a recall of 24,680 vehicles for 4137 Odyssey and Element models from year 2007 to 2008 in Canada, to amend the modulator system support to the stability of the vehicle (VSA (R)). Honda has received customer complaints regarding pedals of "spongy" brake, or which demonstrate a progressive decrease in the height of the pedal (closer to the floor) before the vehicle came to rest. For assigned units, this condition tends to become more significant over time. There was no accident confirms that Canada would be the result of this situation.
Some ABS modulators have been assembled in a way that allow air infiltration, allowing it to enter the modulator during the self-assessment mode ABS system. Despite the fact that a small amount of air can seep into the system during each verification, over a period of several months or years, the air will accumulate and may cause conditions "spongy brake pedal" or of "low brake pedal" associated with this situation.
